Description
This Online Training (OLT) course is one of a series to help the Acquisition Workforce understand industry and one of several topics related to business acumen. The course is not meant to prepare you to sit across the table from a contractor negotiating the price and conditions of a contract. There will be other courses indicated for that later on in the course. However, we do also recognize that every day you are negotiating with someone, whether that is a family member, neighbor, local businessperson, or your DIB counterpart. I'm confident that no matter which functional area you work in -- ETM, LOG, BFM, T&E, etc. -- you'll be negotiating with someone, either in the defense industry or government (even with each other!) This introduction is designed for you and is meant to help you understand industry. The purpose is to help you understand how negotiation is integral while working with industry and building successful teams.
