Description
The Cyber Training Range – Advanced Industrial Control Systems (ICS) workshop provides hands on laboratory exploration of cyber threats to Critical Infrastructure Systems. Students will analyze ICS architectures, capture live bus data and execute offensive cyber techniques to impact systems on the Modbus and other communications.

The WSS 019 workshop is conducted as a virtual instructor led training (VILT) workshop. Students will develop cyber countermeasure design requirements, design solutions and testing approaches to improve Critical Infrastructure security and resiliency in the modern cyber contested battlefield. Students will answer questions throughout the workshop and complete all exercises to receive credit hours.

Critical Behaviors: Upon completion of this workshop the student will in their work environment, be able to:
  • Write system cybersecurity performance requirements from the perspective of defeating adversarial attacks on Critical Industrial Control Systems
  • Provide subject matter expertise at system design reviews regarding ICS architectures and designs.
  • Assume a leadership role in developing and executing cooperative and adversarial cybersecurity test and evaluation plans and procedures for Critical ICS.
  • Identify exploitable weaknesses in ICS architectures and communications.
  • Train program office personnel and system developers on cyber-attack vectors for Critical Industrial Control Systems including removable media, insider threats, social engineering, network, and Modbus.
