***This is an online Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) course.***

Restrictions:
This course is restricted to DCMA students only.

This Virtual Instructor-Led (VILT) course has a 3-week, instructor facilitated online period preceding a 5-day virtual instructor led training period providing reduction-to-practice training on the competencies needed for Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) 1910s to perform their job responsibilities at their desk or on the shop floor consistent with DCMA Quality Assurance (QA) policies.

Government Contract Quality Assurance (GCQA) Fundamentals is designed to facilitate learning of the concepts, processes and principles of Government Contract Quality Assurance (GCQA). The purpose of this course is for DCMA QASs to be able to use applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and DCMA policy documents and processes to guide the performance of required analyses and activities to apply the key concepts of Government Contract Quality Assurance (GCQA) actions and oversight.

During the first segment students are afforded time and opportunity to work at their own pace within a predetermined period of time to achieve specific goals and learning objectives. There is a mandatory class meeting each week during the asynchronous component for instructor facilitated class discussions of the topics covered during each Unit of training.

The second segment is conducted via synchronous virtual instructor led training. During this segment you will complete various individual and group exercises focused on the application of GCQA processes and methodologies.

Upon completion of this course, you will have a solid foundation of the competencies needed for Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Government Series 1910 Quality Assurance Specialists to perform their job responsibilities consistent with DCMA policies.
