Description
This optional 2-week Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) course prepares the acquisition professional for successfully passing the advanced, program management, certification exam leading to the "Advance Certification in Program Management". The course is a review of the seven courses required for advanced program management certification which include:
  1. PMT 0120 Program Scheduling
  2. PMT 0130 Work Breakdown Structure
  3. PMT 0170 Risk Management
  4. ACQ 315 Understanding Industry
  5. PMT 3400 Leadership and Organization
  6. PMT 3500 Business Aspects
  7. PMT 3600 The Program Management Office.
PMT 4900 is a hybrid of learning methodologies including asynchronous, self-paced, virtual on-line training along with synchronous, instructor-led, virtual learning. The asynchronous segment of the course will require the learner to complete an identified portion of the course workbook prior to attending the scheduled, virtual class meetings to review the workbook content. The asynchronous segment will include references to previous coursework, videos, practice exam questions, and individual activities. Learners will have access to several sources for help during asynchronous learning including faculty/instructor contact, other learners, and outside references.

There are three units in the course;
  1. Program Management Tools
  2. Industry Partners
  3. Defense Acquisition
There will be instructor-led virtual class discussion after each unit as well as a unit practice test. PMT 4900 will include a practice, sample, certification exam at the end of the course for learners to assess their readiness for the actual, certification exam. This course is ungraded, but upon successful completion of all course requirements, each student will earn Continuous Learning Points (CLPs).

An optional pre-course review of the material can be found at this link: Pre-Course Review.
