Description
The Contingency Contracting Foundational Credential develops and fosters skills for contracting support provided to Joint Forces across the full spectrum of military and disaster relief operations. The curricula provides students with both an overview of the principles and concepts of contingency contracting, as well as hands-on, ‘how-to’ instructional guidance. The topics covered are wide-ranging, including ethics, cultural and situational awareness, planning, funding, and much more. Exercises focus on unique aspects of contingency, critical thinking skills, and the execution of appropriate contractual instruments.

Target Attendees
Contracting career field/functional area personnel who are in deployable positions. Whenever practical, professionals should attend the course prior to assuming duties in a deployable contracting position.

  • This credential requires the completion of an Instructor-Led Course (ILT) and/or a Virtual Instructor-Led Course (VILT): CON 8300. Priority for ILT/VILT courses goes to members of the Defense Acquisition Workforce. All others may find it difficult to complete this requirement if it has not already been completed at the time of enrollment in the credential.
