Description
THIS COURSE WILL BE AVAILABLE 4th QTR FY22.
This is a virtual instructor-led training (VILT) course designed to develop the skills needed to provide contracting support to joint forces across the full spectrum of military and disaster relief operations. The course is delivered in a virtual or simulated environment resembling the traditional classroom learning experience. Lessons may be conducted synchronously or asynchronously. CON 8300 includes exercises and case studies which focus on unique aspects of contingency environments, critical thinking skills, and the execution of appropriate contractual instruments. The course objectives are mapped to the DoD contracting career field competency model. Students will work both individually and in teams to complete learning activities. There is a capstone study featuring an operational contingency scenario. Whenever practical, students should complete the course prior to assuming duties as a contingency contracting officer (CCO).
