CCON 010 Special Topics in Contract Pricing Credential
Description
Explore specialized contract pricing topics that focus on the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and the Overhead Should Cost Review process. Throughout the three-part CAS content, you’ll navigate through the broad landscape of Public Law 100-679, encompassing CAS, CAS Board rules and regulations, disclosure statements, cost accounting practice changes and cost impact statements. By engaging with CAS techniques and fundamental requirements, you’ll tackle problem-solving scenarios and gain a practical understanding of DoD guidance for implementing CAS requirements and administering contract cost adjustments. In the Overhead Should Cost Analysis course, students will learn about this specific type of cost analysis that focuses on evaluating and understanding the indirect costs associated with government programs, projects, or activities. At the end of the curriculum, you’ll have the essential skills needed to conduct reviews aimed at fostering both short- and long-term enhancements in a contractor's efficiency and economy, with the objective of reducing the costs associated with government contract performance.
