This Credential provides the DoD acquisition workforce, the Engineering and Technical Management Functional Area and Technical Subject Matter Experts (logisticians, engineers, budget and finance analysts), contracting and IP attorneys with the knowledge and skills to successfully develop and acquire better software products faster and more efficiently.
Upon successfully completing the requirements for this credential, you will be able to:
- Describe the characteristics and features of a modern software approach
- Describe a DoD DevSecOps culture to include people, process, and tools
- Describe the key considerations of cybersecurity and software resiliency in DoD software applications while using a modern software approach
- Explain the Agile approach in the DoD acquisition context and assist those considering implementing an Agile approach
- Assess the state of your Agile practice and consider where you want to focus to improve it
- Contrast Agile with other approaches to management
- Explain how Agile helps to create software products and solve problems and apply the solutions to your projects and team
- Develop the interdisciplinary skill set to cultivate a continuous deployment capability
- Explain the skill sets and roles involved in DevSecOps and how they contribute toward a continuous delivery capability
- Explain how high-functioning teams use DevSecOps and related methods to reach a continuous delivery capability
- Facilitate prioritized, iterative and incremental team progress on improving a delivery pipeline
