CLE 001 Value Engineering
 Description
This is an Online Training (OLT) course. Value Engineering (VE) is recognized as an effective technique for reducing costs, increasing productivity, and improving quality-related features of systems, equipment, facilities, services, and supplies for the purpose of achieving the essential functions at the lowest life cycle cost consistent with required performance. It is DoD policy to use VE to make a significant contribution toward greater economy in developing, acquiring, operating, and supporting the products necessary to fulfill its mission. This module provides an overview of VE from both the acquirer and contractor perspective; how VE can be applied and implemented; and how VE Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) can be effectively used.
