Restrictions:
This course is restricted to DoD government civilian and military students only. DCMA students have priority in this course. Non-DCMA students may be placed in registered status if there are seats available or added to waitlist if there are no available seats.

This Virtual Instructor-Led (VILT) course is designed to ensure students have the knowledge and understanding of the application of the DCMA Software Acquisition Management Instruction (SAMI). Specifically, this course aims to connect the major concepts of the DCMA Software Acquisition Management (SAM) mission by focusing on the assessment of software products, processes, and measures. Students should be aware that CME 260 was developed for DCMA and uses DCMA document templates. Class instruction concentrates upon FAR, DFARs or common principles which apply across all services.

  • Course structured to span over 3 weeks (2 weeks asynchronous learning and 1 week synchronous). The 2 weeks of asynchronous learning activities is estimated to take 38 hours. Students must download course materials from the appropriate Teams for Education folder prior to course start date. Instructions will be contained in the Students Welcome letter.
  • Virtual classes are conducted via MS Teams.
  • All times are in the local time zone of the DAU region assigned to teach the offering.
  • Students are required to test connectivity with DAU IT prior to the class start date.
  • DAU does not reimburse student phone/internet charges.
  • The CLPs assigned to this learning activity may be used to meet professional certification and/or licensure requirements (PDUs/CPE credits).
