ACQ 451 Integrated Acquisition for Decision Makers
 Description
RETIRED 5/18/20. This participant-driven, action-based learning course exposes DoD acquisition workforce members to the multidisciplinary acquisition perspectives, integration challenges, and influencing strategies necessary for successful integrated acquisition decision making. Through facilitated discussions, simulations, exercises, case studies, and exposure to decision-making tools participants will formulate strategies that promote effective integration and collaboration for a current integration challenge. Participants will gain a wider view of the acquisition environment and their respective roles and responsibilities.

Target Attendees
Civilians (GS 13-15) or equivalent and military (O4-O6), with at least 3 years of acquisition experience serving in a Level III coded position. Industry and allied participants are eligible to attend and are encouraged to register on a space-available basis.

  • Level III certification in at least one acquisition career field is REQUIRED with 3 years experience at Level III.
  • Pre-work required (approx. 1.5 hours) / Walk-ins are NOT authorized / Pre-work is sent to the participant via instructor e-mail / Participant Blackboard access required for course messages.
  • Completing ACQ 450 through 453 in sequential order is highly recommended.
  • Level III certification in one or more acquisition career fields is strongly recommended. Industry and allied equivalents should have equivalent DAWIA LEVEL III acquisition experience.
