This Virtual Instructor-Led (VILT) course provides training required prior to GFR/G-GFR appointment to audit contractor’s flight and ground operations IAW the contract and DCMA INST 8210-1. DCMA AO and the Service Waiver Authority (SWA) have mandated that first-time learners attend the in-resident course, CMA 241- Government Flight & Ground Representative (GFR/GGR) not CMA 241V. This is not a DAU requirement. Contact your Command if you have questions on which offering you must attend.

This course is intended for rated U.S. Military officers and U.S. Military aircraft maintenance officers or NCOs (E-7 or above), or former U.S. Military aircraft maintenance officer/NCO Government civilian, to whom the Approving Authority will appoint responsibility for FAR 42.302 (a) 56; approval of contractor flights, Procedures, crewmembers, and ensuring contractor compliance with applicable provisions of the contract and DCMA INST 8210-1.

Additional Information:
  • Previous CMA 211 and CMA 221 graduates need not attend CMA 241 unless fulfilling the 3-5 year re-qualification requirement IAW DCMA INST 8210-1.
  • Virtual learners attending geographically separate from the classroom (CMA 241V) must have a functioning web camera.
  • DCMA AO and the Service Waiver Authority (SWA) have mandated that first-time learners attend the in-resident course, CMA 241- Government Flight & Ground Representative (GFR/GGR) not CMA 241V.   • Virtual learners attending geographically separate from the classroom must have a functioning web camera.
  • This is a hybrid course where we teach both virtual and resident learners concurrently.
  • The platform of this course will be taught via MS Teams for both resident and virtual learners.
  • Resident and virtual learners are required to participate in the 'live” class session beginning at 10:00 am (EST) and lasting as late as 5:00 pm (EST) Monday-Friday.
  • All offerings are Eastern Standard Time.
  • Learners are required to participate in a staff or not staffed connectivity session with DAU IT prior to the class start date to verify their devise can operate in the MS Teams environment.
  • DAU does not reimburse learner phone/internet charges.
  • The CLPs assigned to this learning activity may be used to meet professional certification and/or licensure requirements (PDUs/CPE credits).
