CON 0161 Competition in Contracting
 Description
This is an Online Training (OLT) course designed to introduce the competition requirements prescribed in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), and the Army FAR Supplement (AFARS). It examines various pre-solicitation events such as market research, public notices, agency requirements for brand name items and bridge actions, and reviews the impact each may have on full and open competition. Course lessons and topics offer illustrations from bid protest decisions and other resources to promote greater understanding of regulatory language related to competition and enhance the skills of apprentice and seasoned contracting professionals as well as acquisition professionals representing requirements communities and mission partners.
