In this Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) course, participants will obtain a deep understanding of commercial acquisition definitions, processes, and resources. Students will then complete comprehensive cases studies to reinforce best commercial practices. After course completion, students will be able to apply commercial acquisition procedures to meet current acquisition goals.

Target Attendees
This course is targeted to mid-senior level contacting professionals who are engaged in making commercial determinations and pricing difficult, of-a-type, weapons system-related acquisitions. Students will be required to review and analyze documentation from real-life case studies outside of the synchronous classroom experience; therefore, students should be prepared and capable of good time management.

Recommended Prerequisite:
  • CON 7800 Commercial Acquisition; however, if attendees have taken previous commercial acquisition courses, a micro-learning asset will be embedded within CON 7810V as a refresher.
Additional Information:
  • Virtual classes are conducted via MS Teams.
  • All times are in the local time zone of the DAU region assigned to teach the offering.
  • Students are required to test connectivity with DAU IT prior to the class start date.
  • DAU does not reimburse student phone/internet charges.
