This fast-paced mission assist workshop advances the knowledge and understanding of Supportability Analysis process and how it is employed within the defense acquisition process. It focuses on the Supportability Analysis (SA) process with a particular emphasis on supportability analysis requirements outlined in DoD Instruction 5000.91 and MIL-HDBK 502A in developing reliable, available, maintainable, affordable, and supportable systems. It examines the roles and responsibilities of the life cycle logistician and systems engineer in the supportability analysis process along with methodologies for incorporating the results into product support planning to ensure weapon systems are designed, developed and acquired with optimal product support infrastructure and resources.
