RQM 1100 Core Concepts for Requirements Management
 Description
This Online Training (OLT) course allows professionals to study the role of both the requirements manager and requirements management within the Department of Defense (DoD) “Big A” acquisition construct. It examines the capabilities identification and requirements development processes from an end-to-end perspective, highlighting the intersection between the DoD “Big A” decision support systems of acquisition, resourcing, and requirements.

Target Attendees
Those significantly involved with DoD capability identification and requirements development to include: study leadership; planning, writing, and adjudicating comments; and facilitating the development and coordination of requirements documents within organizations. This course is the joint standard for certification of the Level A Requirements Management Certification Training requirement for any member of the Department of Defense involved in the development of requirements for a major defense acquisition program (MDAP).

  • RQM 1010, Introduction to the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System
Additional Notes:
  • Department of Defense Requirements Management Certification Training (RMCT) Level A certification requires that individuals currently assigned (or within 6 months of being assigned) as a requirements manager for a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) complete and pass RQM 1100. RMCT Level B certification also requires completion of RQM 1100 as a prerequisite, and RMCT Level C certification requires completion of RQM 1100 as a prerequisite to attend and pass RQM 3100, “Advanced Concepts and Skills for Requirements Managers”. NOTE: RQM 110 is the equivalent of RQM 1100. If you have previously completed RQM 110, you are not required to take the RQM 1100 course to satisfy these Level requirements.
  • Any exams in this course must be passed with a minimum score of 80%.
