WSM 025 Defense Business System Workshop
 Description
There are two versions of the Defense Business System (DBS) Workshop (DBSW). The first is a one day introduction to the Defense Business System Acquisition Path and intended for those that have Acquisition experience, but are new to the DBS Acquisition Pathway. The second is a DAU-facilitated workshop that builds on foundational material, but tailored to a specific DBS program following the Business Capability Acquisition Cycle (BCAC). The workshop steps team members through the BCAC process, familiarizes team members the handoff of responsibilities between the Functional and Acquisition Communities, with a focus on the responsibilities of the Acquisition community (Program Office staff) and creation of a Capability Implementation Plan (CIP). This generic version of the workshop (still in development) addresses the same content areas and include practical exercises to develop skills relevant to a DBS acquisition, such as tailoring, contracting strategies, and application of Agile methodologies to the DBS pathway.
