Description |
In your career thus far, you have probably been able to excel as an individual. You have been effective because you can single-handedly control outcomes by being self-reliant. You have been effective, so the need to make changes in order to break through to leadership may not be apparent to you. There does come a time, though, when you will outgrow your individual effectiveness, no matter how well it has served you in the past.
In this micro-course we will explore the three key roles leaders play – leader, manager, and contributor – and we will help you identify characteristics that you might want to work on developing so you can push yourself outside the comfort zone of “effective” and take on each of these roles.
