Additional Prerequisite Information:
  • Completion of FAC 086 B2B: Awarding Task Orders in Multiple-Award IDIQ Contracts is recommended prior to registration.
  • CON 0074 (Source Selection) and CON 0470 (Contract Negotiation Techniques) MUST be completed during or prior to CON 1300V. The learning objectives of CON 0074 and CON 0470 are integral for CON 1300V. Completion certificates must be presented to your instructor to receive credit for CON 1300V (CON 0070 or CON 0072 may be substituted for CON 0074).
Schedule: CON 1300V is comprised of 5 units of instruction. These units are either virtual instructor-led (VILT) sessions or self-paced learning activities. Total estimated training is 41 hours (22 hours live instruction & 19 hours self-paced):
  • Week 1: Total training time, 20 hours (10 hours VILT, 10 hours self-paced):
    • VILT session (Unit 1, Introduction to CON 1300V), 2 hours
    • VILT session (Unit 2, Cost or Price Analysis), 8 hours over 2 days
    • Learner self-paced (Unit 2, Cost or Price Analysis), 7 hours
    • Learner self-paced (Unit 3, Plan Negotiations), 3 hours
  • Week 2: Total training time, 21 hours (12 hours VILT/Group, 9 hours self-paced):
    • Learner self-paced (Units 3/4, Plan Negotiations/Select Source), 3 hours
    • Group work (Unit 4, Select Source), 4 hours
    • Learner self-paced (Units 4/5, Select Source/Manage Disagreements), 6 hours
    • VILT session (Unit 4, Select Source), 4 hours
    • VILT session (Unit 5, Manage Disagreements), 4 hours

  • Virtual classes are conducted via MS Teams.
  • Students are required to test connectivity with DAU IT prior to the class start date.
