This classroom (CLRM) course provides an executive overview of pertinent topics concerning Requirements Management. It examines the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System and its close partnership with both the Defense Acquisition System and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution processes. This top-level, strategic overview will include discussion pertaining to the collaboration between the requirements and acquisition communities as they work to enable the setting of achievable risk-informed capability requirements, and the making of cost effective, performance, schedule, and quantity trade-offs.

This course is for DoD four-star General Officers, Flag Officers, and Agency Heads/Directors with position duties which involve:
- Prioritizing Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) requirements or
- Modifying MDAP requirements and the supporting requirements documents or
- Appointing and removing participants in the approval chain for MDAP documents (for example Functional Capabilities Board (FCB), Air Force Requirements Oversight Council (AFROC), Army Requirements Oversight Council (AROC), and Resources and Requirements Review Board (R3B) members).
