This virtual instructor led training (VILT) course discusses the purpose and intent behind requirements management certification; evolving professionalization of the workforce; the role of the Requirements Manager; Requirements Management executive Flag/GO/SES leadership opportunities; the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS); the Defense Acquisition System (DAS); and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE). Importantly, the course addresses current Congressional and Department initiatives impacting capability requirements management to highlight potential challenges and identify opportunities.

This course is for DoD one, two and three-star General Officers, Flag Officers, equivalent members of the Senior Executive Service and political appointees. These executives have positional duties which involve the following:
- Validating and approving capabilities-identification and requirements-development documents and improving workflows
- Providing senior leadership and oversight of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) analysis and staffing
- Enforcing capability requirements management standards and accountability

- RQM 1010, Intro to the Joint Capabilities Integration & Development System
Additional Notes:
- The course meets the Level D certification requirements for the Requirements Management Certification Training (RMCT).
- This course is scheduled once a month and is originated out of the Defense Systems Management College, DAU at Fort Belvoir. Or students may attend via DAU MS Teams.
- Read-a-head information will be provided to each student upon enrollment along with a brief survey soliciting area of particular interest to the student regarding requirements.

- All times are in the local time zone of the DAU region assigned to teach the offering.
