CMC 170 DCMA's Role in Pricing Commercial Acquisitions

In this Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) course, students will be given a commercial item support package and determine sufficiency for price analyses in accordance with DCMA-MAN 2401-01. Students will also analyze the results of Market Research and applicable technical assessment, with the cost/price analysis, to support a price analysis and/or commercial item recommendation for inclusion in a draft Commercial Pricing Report. Students should be aware that CMC 170 was developed for DCMA and uses DCMA document templates. Class instruction concentrates upon FAR and DFARS principles which apply across all services.

  • This course is restricted to DoD government civilian and military students only. DCMA students have priority in this course. Non-DCMA students may be placed in a registered status if there are seats available or added to the waitlist if there are no available seats.
Additional Notes:
  • This course has a 1-week, instructor facilitated online period preceding the 5-day virtual instructor led training (VILT) period. As part of this course, students are required to complete Pre-VILT coursework and Intersessional coursework that is integral to the final course grade. It is anticipated that these components (Pre-VILT and Intersessional) will take approximately 11 hours to complete. Additional information will be provided by the instructor in the welcome messaging for each course offering.
  • Virtual classes are conducted via MS Teams.
  • Students are required to test connectivity with DAU IT prior to the class start date.
  • DAU does not reimburse student phone/internet charges.
  • The CLPs assigned to this learning activity may be used to meet professional certification and/or licensure requirements (PDUs/CPE credits).
