Description |
During this ten-hour virtual workshop, organized into four sessions, a DAU certified Contracting Officer Representative (COR) 222 instructor facilitates an efficient augmentation/review of each of the COR 222 /CLC 222 main concepts and learning objectives before launching participants into the case studies and exercises. Contracting officer's representatives may, or may not, hold a DAWIA acquisition workforce position. Programs frequently nominate CORs based on their subject matter expertise in relation to the supplies and/or services under contract rather than position or DAWIA certification. Working as virtual teams, in a web-based training environment, participants gain peer-to-peer interaction and learning while applying the terminal learning objectives of the DoD mandated COR training.
This training benefits CORs of all experience levels, as participants gain the opportunity for significant sharing and learning of best COR practices as they work together virtually to solve case studies and complete practical exercises. As a result of this workshop the critical behaviors participants can expect to apply on the job include:
- Apply critical acquisition concepts and regulations to common situations CORs face on the job.
- Confidently apply individual subject matter expertise to support:
- Acquisition planning
- Contract establishment
- Contract administration
- Support successful contract administration by observing and documenting contractor performance for the contracting officer.
- Support contract discipline by executing COR express authority in accordance with the contracting officer’s designation letter.
