CMQ 212 Effective Control of Nonconforming Material (NCM)

This is journeyman-level Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) course that presents concepts, facts, principles, processes, and procedures designed to aid DCMA personnel in effectively surveilling the control of Non-Conforming Material (NCM) as part of their commitment to contract administration in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Defense Federal Acquisition Supplements (DFARS) and applicable agency policy and procedures. Students should be aware that CMQ 212 was developed for DCMA and uses DCMA document templates. Class instruction concentrates upon FAR, DFARs or common principles which apply across all services.

  • This course is restricted to DoD government civilian and military students only. DCMA students have priority in this course. Non-DCMA students may be placed in a registered status if there are seats available or added to the waitlist if there are no available seats.

Additional Notes:
  • This course is seven weeks in length (7 weeks of weekly assignments performed independently within the timeframe). The expected time spent in the class is projected not to exceed 8 – 10 hours per week.
  • Virtual classes are conducted via MS Teams.
  • All times are in the local time zone of the DAU region assigned to teach the offering.
  • Students are required to test connectivity with DAU IT prior to the class start date.
  • DAU does not reimburse student phone/internet charges.
  • The CLPs assigned to this learning activity may be used to meet professional certification and/or licensure requirements (PDUs/CPE credits).
