This Online Training (OLT) course helps the Defense Acquisition Workforce better understand the use of commercial acquisition procedures to help meet the acquisition goals as envisioned by the Secretary of Defense in the National Defense Strategy.
UPDATE: On 4 November 2021, the FAR Council issued a final rule revising the FAR definition of "commercial item." The revision provides clarity by splitting commercial items into "commercial products" and "commercial services." This course does not reflect those changes since DAU is developing a new learning asset, CON 7800 - Commercial Acquisition. As such, when CON 7800 is deployed, we will retire CLC 139.
