This module builds upon the sealed bidding process presented in FAR part 14 and provides acquisition professionals experience in understanding and reviewing sealed bidding concepts and processes when contracting for supplies and services. The module covers: The history and policies for the use of sealed bidding; IFB planning and preparation; key aspects of bid submission and receipt; evaluation of bids, including mistakes in bid; contract awards in sealed bidding; and unique aspects of two-step sealed bidding. The CLM is designed to enable you to: expand upon the material on the sealed bidding process; earn continuous learning points; and review sealed bidding concepts for application on the job.
