Description

This Virtual Instructor-Led (VILT) course emphasizes the unique characteristics in the software development environment and their effect of the cost estimating process. It covers estimating the size of the software application; converting software size to development effort; estimating the schedule for completing the development effort; and maintaining the software throughout the operational phase. The course helps students develop reliable and credible software cost estimates through the use of numerous exercises designed to develop critical thinking skills as they pertain to the interrelationships of staffing, scheduling, software complexity, and technology.

  • BCE 0230, Introduction to Software Cost Estimation

  • All times are in the local time zone of the DAU region assigned to teach the offering.
  • Students are required to test connectivity with DAU IT prior to the class start date.
