Description
This workshop covers how DoD allocates resources via the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, & Execution (PPBE) process. It also addresses Budget Exhibits as part of the PPBE process.
Objectives
Objectives:
  • Understand basic PPBE Concepts
  • Explain the purpose, process, products & key players of PPBE
  • Explain the use of and relationship between budget exhibits
  • Identify the funding topics typically evaluated in OSD/OMB budget reviews
  • Explain the importance of the budget exhibits in the PPBE process & who reviews & makes decisions based on their content
    Critical performance behaviors:
  • Participants will prepare accurate and timely required PPBE documents
  • Participants stay in-sync with individual PPBE cycles
  • Participants will maximize resource allocation potential for their organization/program
  • Target Attendees
    This workshop is designed for acquisition and non-acquisition professionals who have an interest in understanding how resources are allocated in the DoD.
