CMQ 211 Quality Management System (QMS) Auditor

This Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) course provides QMS auditors key aspects and better equip them to assess a contractor’s QMS. Using generally accepted practices, learners will develop a comprehensive understanding of QMS auditing, as well as its application in the field. Instruction of all content, activities, and assessments will emphasize applicable standards i.e. ISO 9001, AS9100, and AS6500 quality management systems. Applicable Contract Administration Office (CAO) instructions and policies will also be referenced. Students should be aware that CMQ 211 was developed for DCMA and uses DCMA document templates. Class instruction concentrates upon FAR, DFARs or common principles which apply across all services.

  • This course has a 3-week, instructor facilitated online period preceding the 5-day virtual instructor led training (VILT) period. As part of this 3-week online period, students are required to participate in and complete virtual coursework that is integral to the final course grade. It is anticipated that the virtual coursework will take approximately 6-8 hours per week to complete. Additional information will be provided by the instructor in the welcome messaging for each course offering.
  • Virtual classes are conducted via MS Teams.
  • All times are in the local time zone of the DAU region assigned to teach the offering.
  • Students are required to test connectivity with DAU IT prior to the class start date.
  • DAU does not reimburse student phone/internet charges.
  • The CLPs assigned to this learning activity may be used to meet professional certification and/or licensure requirements (PDUs/CPE credits).
