Description
On September 9, 2022, the Principal Director, Defense Pricing and Contracting (DPC) issued a memo titled, “Managing the Effects of Inflation with Existing Contracts.” In this memo, DPC provided procedural information on how to process requests for relief for extraordinary circumstances where contractors have sought or may seek an upward adjustment to the price of an existing firm-fixed-price contract to account for the current inflationary, economic conditions, but many questions remain. This Online Training (OLT) course provides clarification on Pub. L. 85-804 as implemented in FAR subpart 50.1. This course does not address Economic Price Adjustment (EPA) Clauses or modifications based on consideration.
