Description
This Online Training (OLT) course, Cost Accounting Standards, Part 1, is part of a three-course series on the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). CON 7040 provides instruction in the various aspects of Public Law 100-679, and the history and applicability of the CAS. Students will also learn the techniques for application and fundamental requirements of CAS 401, 402, 405, and 406, or what is often referred to as modified CAS.

Target Attendees
The primary audience for the course is DCMA level 1102 personnel. A secondary audience is contracting officers and contract specialists who award contracts that are subject to the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) or must comply with the CAS for costs to be considered allowable. Recommended attendees are civilians GS-9 or above, and military equivalents.
