Restrictions:
This course is restricted to DoD Acquisition Workforce (DAW) government civilian and military students only.

In this Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), RED TEAM Negotiations will prepare program managers, contracting professionals, and team members to execute effective negotiations through “red teaming" and subsequent enhancements to current negotiation preparations. The goal is to accelerate and deepen negotiations preparations through an understanding of contractor motivations, targeting and prioritizing leverage, and practicing strategic preparation and planning for negotiations.

Target Attendees
Civilians and military equivalents (GS-9 and above) with at least 2 years of experience in the Contracting functional area. This course is the capstone course for CCON 002, Business Foundation Credential. Prior to attending this course, attendees should complete all learning assets within the CCON 002 credential. This course is recommended for personnel in the major weapons systems or services area.

Additional Information:
  • Virtual classes are conducted in MS Teams.
  • Students are required to test connectivity with DAU IT prior to the class start date.
  • This course will consist of synchronous facilitated discussions with the full class and small groups.
  • Students should expect 15 hours of total synchronous class time over 2.5 days.
  • Schedule will generally follow one 2.5-hour morning session and one 3.5-hour afternoon sessions for the first two days. The last day (day three) of class will consist of one 3-hour synchronous session in the morning. Class is expected to conclude immediately after the 3-hour half day.
  • There are no asynchronous, out-of-class activities required.
  • DAU does not reimburse student phone/internet charges.
  • The CLPs assigned to this learning activity may be used to meet professional certification and/or licensure requirements (PDUs/CPE credits).
