***This is an online Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) course.***

Restrictions:
This course is restricted to DoD government civilian and military students only. DCMA students have priority in this course. Non-DCMA students may be placed in registered status if there are seats available or added to waitlist if there are no available seats.

This advanced level blended learning Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) course, teaches the Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO), Price/Cost Analyst (PCA), and Cost Monitor (CM) administration of CAS, focusing on CAS 401 and 402. Through Reduction to Practice, participants review and revise Disclosure Statements, analyze Cost Accounting Practices (CAPs), and evaluate the cost impact to the Government. Students should be aware that CMC 234 was developed for DCMA and uses DCMA document templates. Class instruction concentrates upon FAR and DFARS principles which apply across all services.

  • 12-hours of pre-work is required to be completed prior to classroom attendance. During a 3-week period preceding the classroom segment, students are required to participate in and complete pre-work that is integral to the final course grade. Additional information will be provided by the instructor in the welcome messaging for each course offering.
  • Virtual classes are conducted via MS Teams.
  • All times are in the local time zone of the DAU region assigned to teach the offering.
  • Students are required to test connectivity with DAU IT prior to the class start date.
  • DAU does not reimburse student phone/internet charges.
